Dream Kid's Room Makeover

There is a TV programme in Sweden called Fixa Rummet. From what I can understand (it's all in Swedish) they find children who are dissatisfied with their bedrooms, and 'fix' them, creating their dream rooms. This one belongs to the adorable brother and sister, Kaspian and Nike.

Kaspian wants to be a vet so his room is filled with animals, and Nike has a little pink nook under the stairs below her big brother's room. For more photos click here.

Old printers trays are great for displaying small toys

An old cabinet has been turned into a hospital for all the sick toys

I have previously featured a DIY handle project here similar to Kaspian's dinosur handles

I love the little ribbon-tied-dog-curtain

Relaxed Style

I want my home to look good fabulous, but I also want it to be an inviting place for family and friends, somewhere they can relax and have fun. When I came across this home of Mark and Louella Tuckey on Mark's website recently, I instantly loved it. The beachfront home situated on Sydney's Northern Beaches is relaxed and natural, yet super cool, and features some beautiful furniture and artwork. It's not surprising really, as Mark is a furniture designer & manufacturer, and Louella is a stylist and interior designer - a dream combination!

When I make my millions, high on my wish list is a piece of artwork by Rachel Castle and David Bromley, both of which the Tuckey's own. And of course, my most favourite artist, Miranda Skoczek.

Pops of Colour & Light

This Toronto, Canada home is oozing character, and filled with pops of beautiful colour and light. Carolyn and Derek Gavin live here with their daughter, Lily and English bulldog, Ziggy. Carolyn's South African background is evident in art and furniture throughout. In fact the couple bought some of their paintings before they could afford furniture. They then worked the rest of the home around the colourful style.

The painting was a 40th birthday present and influences the colour scheme for the home

What a lovely spot to curl up and read a book or just hang out
