Have you all heard about Lorna Jane? I only discovered this amazing range of sports and leisure wear last year when we went to Australia for a holiday, but she opened her first store way back in 1990. I love the story of how the company began, you can find it on their website. Unfortunately for all you Kiwis, there are no shops here in New Zealand (they are everywhere in OZ), but that's the beauty of internet shopping. And for the next five days only there is FREE SHIPPING to Australia & New Zealand addresses. So check out their cool website now, and enter FREESHIP at checkout.
Past Pleasures
This was one of those happy discoveries... I stumbled upon the photo of this cute wee caravan this afternoon. I've always loved caravans, and would love to park one up at our place as a studio/play house/spare room.
It belongs to Holly Hargreaves, the owner and creator of Past Pleasures. She makes these gorgeous kiwiana upholstered wall tiles.
And I have to give credit to another fabulous shop/website - Femme de Brocante
(thanks Tor & Kitty for telling me to check them out). They stock a large range of beautiful fabric, furniture and gift ideas. It was one of fdb's oilcloths - Lulu striped - which Holly used to wrap her caravan in, and upholster the inside benches.

Getting Crafty
I think this is so clever - make your own little fabric Matryoshka or Kokeshi dolls. The very talented Kristen Doran has designed and printed the fabric, so that all you have to do is sew around them, turn through, stuff with toy fill and sew up the base. I am NOT a good sewer, but I'm pretty sure that I could manage this. Visit Kristen's wesite here.
