Freedom Winter 2013

Have you seen Freedom Furniture's winter collection yet? I am so impressed with the range, and have added quite a few to my wish list. Lots of bold graphics, bright colours, clean lines and gorgeous texture - what more can you ask for?!

It's hard to just choose a few, but here are some of my favourite items...

1.) Spaghetti Occasional Table - I loved this in gold, and now this version in a bronze colour is top of my list (also available in pink).
2.) Ribbon Vessel - very Scandinavian, it looks stunning empty, just imagine it with some pink peonies in it!
3.) Charade Vessel - this vase is more subtle but I love the texture.
4.) Jersey Cushion - in smart indigo stripes, cosy and tactile (also available in coral stripes).
5.) Neon Knit Cushion - yes, the neon stripe sold me! This is perfect for snuggling up with this winter.
6.) Ocean Ikat Textured Print - I love ikat, and these colours are gorgeous.
7.) Stockholm Coffee Table - another strong Scandinavian flavour, I love the simple lines, and a round coffee table is great for breaking up all those square lines found in your sofa and chairs.

I could've kept going, there is so much to admire. Have you had a look, what are your favourite pieces?

Greg Natale Design

After building his interior design firm from the ground up, Greg Natale was awarded the Belle Coco Republic Interior Designer of the Year in 2011. His style is very distinctive, and once you've become familiar with it, it'll become instantly recognisable. Greg describes his style as layering decoration over minimalism, and that's exactly what I love about it - seamless, clean lines topped with elegant luxe. Not afraid of bold patterns, he often uses moody, quite masculine colour schemes.

This is one of my favourite of Greg's residential projects. The home has a gorgeous colour scheme of white, gray and indigo blue with touches of green and gold. Lots of beautiful straight lines contrasted by curves found in the archway, lighting and coffee table. The marble splash back and floating bench are simple divine!

WIN an Acapulco Chair!

Some of you may have noticed that a gorgeous range of coloured Acapulco chairs have flown into the Cush & Nooks shop. To celebrate their arrival I am giving away one pink Acapulco chair, worth $375, to one of you, my beautiful readers.

The Acapulco chair was born in the 1950's and is a Mexican symbol of retro and modern style. It is believed that a French tourist who was visiting Acapulco in the '50s was inspired by the open string construction of traditional Mayan hammocks, and designed the chair that would be suitable for the modern tropics.

These chairs are made from UV protected PE rattan and zinc plated powder coated steel. That's a bit of a mouthful, but it basically means that they are extremely durable, able to withstand all kinds of weather, and they are environmentally friendly. Perfect for outdoors, they look equally as stylish inside.

To go into the draw to win this pink beauty, I want you to email me and tell me what product/s you would like to see me stocking in the shop. I'm planning on introducing lots of new goodies, so your input would be fantastic. What do you love, but are having trouble sourcing? Share this post on your Facebook and/or Twitter pages, tag in Cush & Nooks, and you'll get another entry. I'll announce the winner next Friday 15 March on the blog and my Facebook page - good luck!. Sorry, entry only available to New Zealand readers.
