Rainy Days

It's the first week of the school holidays and it's been raining for days!

I mean this kind of rain...

Raining and pouring!

The kids still want to go out, and the dogs still wants to be walked!

Lucky for me I've got my Hunter boots - yay!

Just a pity I don't have him (just joking!)... (not really!)

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you're all rested and relaxed, and thoroughly enjoying these holidays. It's supposed to be summer here in New Zealand, but the whole country has copped a lot of rain over the last week. We headed to our bach in Kuratau, which is a great spot on the far side of Lake Taupo. It rained nearly every day we were there, but it was still pretty warm, so didn't stop us from getting out and about.

This huge puddle proved to be great fun for riding bikes through. We're back home in Hawke's Bay now, and thank goodness the sun is shining! I hope 2012 has many wonderful things in store for us!
