Ses + Jen Online Shop

I first met Ses and Jen when I featured Ses' cool home on the blog last year (see more here). The colour-loving mother and daughter duo share a passion for interior and fashion design. You can imagine my excitement when I heard that they were launching an online shop stocking all their favourite pieces for your home and wardrobe.

Yesterday the postie delivered a beautifully wrapped package from the girls, and I got my first taste of the goodness they're stocking.

I love my Ourlieu Jungle Kitty Clutch, it's just the right size for all my essentials - phone, purse, lippy, iPad mini. Thanks so much Ses + Jen!

The store is jam-packed with delicious colourful and patterned, quality pieces from their favourite designers. I wouldn't expect anything less from the stylish pair.

Here are few more of my favourite products, all going straight onto my wish list. Go and have a look for yourself, and make sure you sign up to their mailing list to see all new arrivals and specials offers.

Ginger Jars | Three Ways

One of the first blogs I ever started following was Anna Spiro's Absolutely Beautiful Things. If you know Anna's work, or just take a look through her gorgeous blog, you can see why I love her style - layers of colour, pattern, and interiors with depth and soul. She introduced me to ginger jars, and I fell firmly in love with them, particularly the blue and white ones. They look beautiful filled with bright flowers (especially my favourite peonies), or clustered together in a group.

They also look fabulous as a lamp base. You can buy them as a base, or find a fabulous light specialist who can turn your ginger jar into a light.

A third option is a ginger jar painting or print, and I'm a huge fan of the work of Carolyn Schultz.

I love them all! Beautiful colour, pattern, form, and scale. Are you a fan?

Reinventing a Room

In my home I am often moving things around, creating new vignettes, changing it up. Last week my black and white rug was in the kitchen, now it's at the foot of my bed. Bowls, plants, vases, decorations, cushions - they're always circulating. A change is as good as a holiday, it keeps things fresh and exciting.

Norwegian blogger, Henrietta Kalbekken, takes it to a whole new level. She is so clever and creative, regularly posting photos of her beautiful, and ever-changing home on her blog, designlykke. Below you'll see six different interpretations of her living room (starting with the most recent), all from this year. She changes the wall colour, the artwork, rugs and decor, and along the way she got a new sofa.

I'm not suggesting you buy lots of new furniture pieces and paint your walls every few months (unless you want to), but try circulating existing pieces around. Have a play and see what works and what doesn't, you can always change it back. I'll leave you with some more inspirational photos from Henrietta's home. You may notice artwork and rugs moving around in these rooms too.
